The Word of God is wonderful! When I was a kid, the book of Revelation scared the begebers out of me, now I love it because of the way God reveals and describes himself in it. As a kid I also thought Job was depressing, but now I especially enjoy the last few chapters, where God begins to declare who he is. The
Blue Letter Bible is a great source for an on-line Bible reference. I just can't stay out of the book of
Isaiah, and Daniel is also a favorite. (I told you I love prophecy!) John is a wonderful book if you need to be reminded how much God loves you. If you don't understand that God weeps over you because he loves you so much, don't forget to read
Jeremiah.
The writings of
Enoch which were transcribed from
the dead sea scrolls, are fasinating and are part of the Apocrypha and
Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament.
